Internet Explorer Error Message (msvcrt.dll)

I am running Windows 98 SE and recently downloaded IE6. Since doing this I
frequently get an error message Internet Explorer has encountered a problem
and needs to close. I've send error reports but this is frustrating as it
seems to go into thin air and don't know if anyone at microsoft reads or
actions them.

Anyone got any ideas on how to fix the problem?

try to repair ie..add remove programs..control panel
look for ie6sp1 higlight add /remove selected repair
aslo get a spyware remover www.microsoft.com/spyware
