Internet explorer display sizing problem

In the maximized window, instead of the normal layout of the Internet
Explorer page, I have just one long narrow column.

Anybody know how to get back to the normal view???

Some background: If I start the PC in the safe mode, the IE window is
properly sized. Also, if I sign into the MY MSN page: it looks ok.

System restore did not resolve this issue.

Any help would be appreciated.
