Internet Explorer crashing on RTM

P

Petrhaus

Hello,

I've just installed the Ultimate RTM and everything went ok.

Now the problem is that when closing Internet Explorer it randomly crashes
and restart. I don't know why this happens, I already disabled extensions
installed (to be honest only Adobe Flash Player) but it seems not to have
solved the crash... could it be the graphics driver (currently ATI Catalyst
beta)?

Thanks in advance.

Was this an upgrade?

Try running IE with no add-ons from "Start|Programs|Accessories|System
Tools" see if that helps

I feel your pain. The solution is to install Mozilla Firefox 2. It is by
far a better browser that I.E. 7. Don't take my word for it friend, try it
for a week. You'll swaer by it! *smile*

Oh I know... someone told me that Firefox 2 can also cure cancer and hiv...
but unfortunately I'm sadic enough to prefer to stay with IE7 and find a
solution for the problem I reported.

I don't have nothing against Firefox 2, except for those guys trolling
around it everytime someone ask something about IE.

Petrhaus,

From what I understand Adobe Flash has a problem under Vista. Microsoft and
Adobe are aware of the issue.

Your 'problem' is reported quite frequently over on the IE general
newsgroup. Most there are using XP.

And then try Opera, and wonder what all the fuss about Firefox was, as it
does everything Firefox does, and more, better...
