internet explorer - caught java script spam bug?

C

Cecelia Nichols

To make a long story short - Through e-mail, a bug
secured itself on my computer. It has taken control of my
internet explorer 6. It set the default home page to
http://I-look.com. All the adds on any web site is now
XXXX-rated; most nouns are underlined with xxxx-rated
links. The 'bug' creates several links in my favorites
and has put itself on my tool bar (i-lookup). I tried to
un-install internet explorer 6. Through control panel it
stated it was uninstalled - but it was not. Tried the
microsoft 'get around' to uninstall the internet explorer
6, but that does not work - after typing cmd to get a
command prompt the instructions to type 'change
user /install', I get change not a recognized command.
(I know that the internet explorer is not working
correctly because the task manager does not work
correctly.) I tried typing the changeuser together,
nothing works. I put restrict sites on my firewall and
the my internet security home page. It's probably a java
script with an extrememly different name that keeps
executing when the internet explorer is executed. Can
anyone HELP?
Thanks,
Cecelia
