Internet Explorer can save the file only as a BMP file

When you use the Save Picture As command for a graphics
file in Internet Explorer, you may be able to save the
file only as a BMP file, even if the file is in another
format (such as GIF or JPEG).

Vince,
Open IE and go to TOOLS/OPTIONS and on the General tab,
click DELETE TIF's and be sure and check OFFLINE content when
doing this.. You might as well dump the cookie folder while you are
at it... You might have to re-type some passworded sites that you had,
but it is just good housekeeping... This will probably restore your
ability to SAVE AS as jpg's or gif's.
