internet explorer 8

I was using Firefox and wanted to go back to IE8 downloaded the file and ran
it but no but don't have icon on screen and when doing a search can't find
the IE8 run file. What do I have to do to get IE8 icon and to get it running?

The IE8 icon is the same as the IE7 icon.. have you tried it?

/ Find / File IEXPLORE.EXE
for menu select (highlight) and Right Click
from menu choose Send To . . . Desktop as icon.
