Internet Explorer 7: "add-ons" disabled...

And the Tools | Manage Add-ons entry is ghosted out/not working.

Of course, I need Add-ons for Office updates after an XP SP2 reload....

Suggestions appreciated...

It's possible that you have a bad installation of IE7 -

Thanks. I did an uninstall and a reinstall of IE7. Same behavior (under
XP Home SP2). Interestingly, this is a fresh (today) install of XP on a
wiped hard drive....a long overdue reload to take care of miscellaneous
slowness and general rot on an an 18 month old load. Before the
reinstall, IE7 was in and working fine.

Go figure.

I'm going back to v6:)
