When I scroll down,or up,any page using Internet Explorer
the scroll does not move in a smooth linear fashion. It
moves in waves. It does no harm but is annoying. Also the
page does not stop scrolling when I stop using the scroll
wheel on my mouse,it keeps rolling on for a few seconds
and goes way past the point on the page that I want to
read.How can I fix the problem,please?

Also check scroll setting in MOUSE software properties.

Turn off smooth scrolling, scroll acceleration in mouse control panel.

.Thanks to Quaoar and dev for your suggestions.I must
have poorly explained my problem.IE6 does not jump to
either the start or finish of a web page. The page appears
ok.If I then try to read the page by,say, rolling the
scroll wheel on my mouse the page does not move
smoothly,it rolls and rolls,as though it was a series of
waves rolling onto a beach.
altering "Smooth scrolling" in Internet Options has no
effect on the problem.
