Internet Explorer 6.0

When I check out my System Info and Network Diagnostics they both show that
I'm running IE 5.1 but in *About Internet Explorer it says 6.0* ...why is
that??

Also in Network Diagnostics it says * Internet Explorer Web Proxy- Not
Configured* Can someone help me with this??

I recently had lots of problems with virus and spyware, I also switched from
Dial-up to Broadband.....I'm running WindowsXP Home Edition

No, you are not running IE5.1
5.1 is your Windows version. (XP)
You get 6.0 in IE-Help-About because you are running version 6 of
Internet Explorer (which is standard for Win XP)
