Internet connection works but IE doesn't - Only Real Player

Any clues on why IE (as well as Netscape and Firefox) can't access the
internet (Error: "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"), yet I am
getting e-mails and can access the internet with Real Player? I've been
trying to adjust settings, etc. but to no avail.

Do you have a firewall other than the build into XP one??

Norton, but problem occurs even when it's disabled.
