INTERNET ACCES AFTER HIBERNATION

I have 2 computers running through a Belkin router and
LinkSys cable modem. Both computers go into hibernation
mode. One computer runs 2000 Pro and can connect onto the
internet immdiately after coming out of hibernation. The
other with XP Home can't connect to the internet unless a
reboot is performed. I've read that the pre-installed
Realtech NIC doesn't perform well so I bought a D-Link NIc
but I have the same issues. The driver for the new card
runs off a Realtech chipset, so I don't think I'm gaining
anything. Does anyone have any ideas?

if you go into Network Connections
then go into the properties of the ethernet (LAN)
in the Genral tab click the Configure button
in the Power Management tab make sure
'allow the computer to turn this ....' is unchecked!
