Although my default keyboard language and layout is British English I
thought there may be occasions when a US English layout may be useful.
I therefore added the US keyboard layout but retained the UK as
default.
Subsequently I reverted to the single British English language and
layout only.
Unfortunately ever since then Internet Explorer insists on putting the
Internat icon into the system tray although there are no choices to be
made. The icon does not appear at boot up and it can be removed using
Ctrl Alt Del and End Task but it reappears again as soon as Internet
Explorer is used.
On occasions the internat (En) icon short menu suggests I could select
a simplified chinese layout although this is not loaded except in
Add/Remove Programs for browsing.
Does anyone have any suggestions for getting rid of this irritant
please?
The OS is Windows 98 and the IE6 version is SP1 with q313829.
