Internal Error 2755

I am using Windows XP Professional Edition with SP2.
I downloaded Microsoft AntiSpyware from Microsoft's
website.
I tried to install it, but an error came out:

Internal Error 2755 .110, C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded
Installations\{0B17D774-B0EB-44BC-AC38-78A97D7D2507}
\Microsoft AntiSpyware.msi

I tried to delete that file and install again, but the
result was the same. Afterwards, I thought that it was
the problem of Webroot Spy Sweeper, so I closed the
programme, and then install again. But, the result was
the same...

Could anyone help me to solve this problem? Thanks for
your replies.

I had the same error, but I have SP1. What you do is go
to start menu, click run, type: msconfig, and
press "OK". After the "System Configuration Utility"
comes up you can click on the dot beside "Selective
Startup" or go to the startup tab. If you choose to use
the "Selective Startup" then you click on the checked box
next to "Load Startup Items". If you choose to go to
the "Startup" tab then uncheck the ones that you know you
don't need to have starting up when you log on. If there
are any blank ones then uncheck those especially. When
ever you are done then press "Apply" and then "OK". Then
you restart and when you log on you get this message
saying something like about the "System Configuration
Utility" and that is normal. Now you can install the MS
AntiSpyware Beta. when that is installed then go back to
the "System Configuration Utility" and if you
selected "Selective Startup" then select "Normal
Startup", but if you uncheck the some of the boxes under
the "Startup" tab then you don't have to change
anything. !MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE ONLY UNCHECKED THE
ONES THAT YOU KNOW YOU DIDN'T NEED TO HAVE STARTING UP
WHEN YOU LOG ON! Hope this helps. Sorry if this is
somewhat long.

error 2755. 110

Hi I`m new to this site, but I was having the same problems with all of my installation. I search the web for an answer with any luck. Then I try to resolve it myself. In my case i disable my anti-spyware agent (Prevx 2.0) and it works fine. Hope this help.
