Internal Audio - p4p800 and AIW 9000

I would like to use the 4-pin CD Audio Connector on my ATI AIW 9000 video
card to connect to the AUX sound input on my P4P800 motherboard. I have
several 4-pin CD audio cables in my hardware collection, but unfortunately
the 4-pin socket on the AIW will not accommodate the 4-pin plug on my CD
audio cables. I can either attempt to find individual lead sleeves and
connect each wire individually or I need to find the type of 4-pin connector
that the ATI card can use. Has anyone used the internal CD Audio Connector
on the AIW to connect to the P4P800, and if so how did you connect the
4-pins?

Thanks,
-Jack

Recently, Windows XP Pro crashed (Again) and when it rebooted I had no
audio. The SoundMax icon had a red circle with a cross through it and when
I double clicked on it it told me I had no sound card. In past experiences
with Win98, I would just uninstall the hardware and let Windows redetect it
on reboot. Windows didn't detect it ever again.

This sucks, because now I can't listen to all my music. I can't watch DVDs.
I can't play games. They all return an error about missing audio
(everything from missing codecs to missing hardware). Other problems: I
can't update the bios, or install the software drivers. The update software
says "No Asus hardware found." and quits.

I also run Linux, so I tried to install the sound drivers. Too bad I am
completly clueless when it comes to Linux, so I don't know how to install
the audio drivers (LAN was easy!).

Can anybody help me, or should I try to get a replacement mobo?
