Intermittent 401.2 error on Intranet Site using Intregrated Authentication.

Hi All,
I manage a few Intranet websites for the company I work for and have
just recently received feedback from users stating they are receiving
intermittent 401.2 login failures when accessing sites that prevent
anonymous logins. On the IIS server (Win2k - IIS 5.0) I have locked
down the web folders to our "Domain Users" group and removed Anonymous
Login from the IIS settings. This config has worked fine until
recently, when a few users have complained of the 401.2 error.

Basically, they open the site and receive the 401.2 error. Wait a
couple of minutes and then are able to access the site. Sometimes they
can access the site on their first attempt and then the second and
third tries result in the 401.2.

All of our clients are using WinXP with IE 6.0. Immediately after
receiving the 401.2 failure, I check the GPResult utility from the CMD
prompt to verify group membership, and the users are in the "Domain
Users" group, which should be all that is required.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
