I have been trying to add to and manipulate my predesecors database. A
very rough but limited functional "service call" management database.

I'd like to keep a log of when a status of a job is changed, time date
stamp. A history of the work order as it progresses. I also want to see
who made these changes. I know nothing of user login and securities and
am afraid thatd be a bit above my abilities at this point to introduce
that and create those. Seeing how i know nothing of this VBA coding
(like greek to me). Any suggestions as to how to add this feature to
our status tracking? I envision ...as each change that's made by the
user (user can select different status from a dropdown list), a form to
popup for user to select their name. And in the log (worksheet view) to
see time/date stamp, status of job, and who selected that status.

Your thoughts, comments, and suggestions are most welcome.

If you know nothing of Access security or VBA coding, and don't want to
learn (it's like greek to you), my best suggestion is that you find a
competent programmer to build this feature for you.
Most cities have employment agencies specializing in IT, who will be happy
to "rent" you a consultant for a few hours or a few days at a time.
