interface not registered

David

I just installed outlook and got the following message
when attempting to send my first email; interface not
registered. I am not able to send emails.

Can anyone tell me what this means - more importantly,
how to correct the problem?

Thank you,
David

This has been witnessed in our environment and was fixefd b
re-registering a couple of DLL's

regsvr32 C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\OLE32.DLL
regsvr32 C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\MSRDO20.DL

regsvr32 C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\OLE32.DLL
regsvr32 C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\MSRDO20.DLL *

On XP Pro, the directory is (obviously) different. I'm including th
correct lines for those not-so-saavy people (like me :) who may no
know...

Go to "Run" from the start menu, and type:
regsvr32 C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\OLE32.DLL
(and)
regsvr32 C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\MSRDO20.DLL

Fixed the problem.

Just re-installed Outlook with the Office XP Pro package,
and I cannot get the darned thing started. The message
that I get is:
Failed to register a VB Script DLL. Reinstall or run
Regsvr32.exe Vbscript.dll to self register. The
key 'DisplayName' is either missing or has an incorrect
value. [File C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10
\forms\1033\SECREC(2).CFG, Section Description]

I've run the scripts suggested below - but this didn't
help. Any ideas?
