Hi Eric,

EWF protect partitions from write, so filesystem drivers are not aware of this.
If you want your changes to be written to disk you will have to commit and reboot (there are slight differences how disk and ram
based overlay are working) your computer.

Hi Eric,

I do not understand the conclusion, or question.
Can you tell us what you want to accomplish?

Best regards,
Slobodan

eric,

Yes, it is like any other change you do in the system that does not impact
access to the disk raw data.

Unfortunatley, none of the system components have any customizations for EWF
usage scenerios. System components are all coming from XP Pro without any
change in the binaries.

This all means you will have to make sure to commit changes you do and want
to be persistent manually.
