intellipoint 5.2 set up for programs not working

I installed intellipoint 5.2 for my intellimouse explorer 2.0 laset week.
1. The global setup works great but the setup for individual programs DOES
NOT WORK. I tried word, excel, note pad, word pad,..... None of them work.
It will not override the global setup.

2. I cannot assign ctrl-tab to the button.

This is very frustrating. I bought the mouse so that I can customize the
buttons for work.

Any ideas? Or do I have to wait for another update?

OS system is XP pro sp 1.

I haven't really played with individual application settings much, but I
just tried it with my BT Desktop and had no problem. You do need to
have Type32.exe and Point32.exe running in order for these functions to
be available (in case you removed them from the startup in one way or
another).

I have almost the same problem but my general setup does not work either. I
have point32.exe working but i could not find type32.exe in my system. can
anyone send this file to me?

Type32.exe should only before the Microsoft keyboards.

Okay, easy enough to do:

Under HKCU, in the EventMapping section of the registry under Intellipoint
(or EventMapping under Intellipoint / Appspecific/ AppName) , then under the
button number (Middle-Click is 4):
For Keystroke the Ctrl key has a value of 512 Decimal (Shift key 256) plus
the value of the other key - Tab = 9 ; Totalled up this is Decimal 521, Hex
209 (for Ctrl-Tab).

Here's an example for doing Ctrl-Tab on Middle-Click for Firefox:
