Intel Pro drivers, Q-Tag and Embedded XP

Hello everyone,

first of I would like to say that this newsgroup is really help ful and
interesting.

So this is my problem, in our embedded system we use Q-tag V-lan on the
switches for networking and different configuration.

In XP Pro I install the Intel Pro drivers with desktop management, which
opens a whole new inteface for setting NIC options and also Q-tag options.
So my first question: Is there a way to do Q-tag settings without install
the full Intel Pro management driver interface?

I tried installing the Intel Pro management driver interface in my Embedded
XP (after adding alotsa WMI components) the installation goes well, but when
I restart the computer and enter the NIC properties the Intel management
interface doesn't launch. And when looking in device manager för NIC
settings, the whole tab is missing...

Any ideas on how to continue?

Thanks for you imputs,
Lucas

Hi Lucas,

What Q-Tag options are you actualy reffering?

Plugin in Devive Manager that allow you to enable. QoS Packet Tagging and other parameters, or something else?

You can set defaults in inf file itself, and all values will be set during the PnP phase.

Search defaults (in example) for TaggingMode.

Regards,
Slobodan
