Insufficient System Resources

L

Liters

My new computer with a 3.06 GHz P4, 800 MHz FSB, 512 MB
Ram, 768 MB Page File, XP Pro, running about 48 processes
at any given time, can't open more than 7 applications at
the same time because of "Insufficient System Resources".
My other computer, a 550 MHz P3, 133 MHz FSB, 224 MB Ram,
512 MB Page File, XP Pro, also with about 48 processes
can open the same 7 programs and more without much more
than a chopping of the music playing.
What can I do to fix this on the 3.06 GHz computer?

Install a good dedicated AGP video card and PCI
sound card if you are using your motherboard's
onboard video and audio. Onboard chips use
a lot of your CPU and RAM resources.
