insufficient space in TEMP directory

I was opening a compressed game file that was unpacking
itself to the windows temp directory when I got an error
message stating that I have run out of space in the temp
directory and I have plenty of space on the drive. I tried
it a few times and got the same results. What can I do?

You may have plenty of space on the hard drive, but did you empty your
Temporary Internet Files folder?

Sorry for the double-post - in my first reply I said to empty the
Temporary Internet Files folder, and of course I should have said to
delete temporary files. Run Disk Cleanup from Accessories>System
Tools>Disk Cleanup. Then try again.
