Insuffecient memory?

Trying to save a project and this is the message I keep getting. I have over
40 gigs of hard drive space and 1 gig of RAM with more than half of it still
available when editing. The project I'm trying to save only includes one
clip, so it's not the size. The only thing I can think of would be something
to do with the collections as I imported about 10-15 big clips and Movie
Maker just can't handle it.

Any ideas?

What size were all the clips, to make a movie you need twice as much space
as it already is to make the temp files and write the new file.
