Instant Search - Only index outlook and not the whole machine?

Not sure if this should go in the Outlook group or the Windows XP group or
what but I'm starting here.

At work we are rolling out Office 2k7 and want to include the Instant Search
ability within Outlook. However that can't work unless we install the
Windows Search feature for Windows XP.

Because of the nature of our business, we don't want our PCs indexing all
their files but would like them to index Outlook for the search piece.

Is there any way to have Windows Search installed but to have it only index
Outlook and not the whole PC?

I don't feel that this is an Outlook question, but have you looked at the
group policy adm template that installs with Windows Desktop 4.0 to see how
much of the file system you can block out + decide on whether or not
attachments in Outlook should be indexed?
