Instant Messaging

Hello,

We are looking for a way to utilize some type of Instant
Messaging for our small company We are running server
2003 and all clients are running xp sp1.I am familiar
with the Net Send command but am looking for something a
little more user friendly. Anyone using any IM type
programs to accomplish the same kind of thing.

Thanks

Check this program out.
http://www.winmessenger.com/

BTW - it is not related to windows messenger, no server needed, isn't
public. It runs in your network and uses the messenger service to send and
receive messages. Simple to use.

In an office environment there's a few things wrong with it:
Public servers.
Privacy.
The need for all employees to sign up to use messenger.
Once they sign up they can then talk to buddies all day long instead of
working.
You may need to open ports in the company firewall that would otherwise be
closed.
(just to name a few)
An internal LAN instant message program that requires no internal server or
outside servers would be more appropriate for a small company.
