Is this a Retail, OEM or upgrade version of Windows XP Home edition?
Did you insure this computer could run Windows XP before you started
installing it?
Have you verified the hardware is good and compatable?
Have you tried swapping the RAM around inside the computer (with it off of
course) and retrying installation?
What are the hardware specs on this machine?
Have you checked for BIOS updates for the motherboard?
