installing winxp without a floppy disk drive on laptop

I need to do a reinstall of winxp sp2 on my laptop.
When i try to boot from the cd rom i get a 'non-emulation' error.

The advice ive gotten so far is to make a bootable floppy disk - but i
dont't have a floppy disk drive on my laptop.

So what are the alternatives???

If you really wanted to get it installed, you could take out your hard drive
and swap it out into another computer with a floppy drive, make the install,
then put your hard drive back in your laptop. Other than that, I can't be of
much help.

Where did you get the CD from which you are trying to install Windows?
