Installing Windows 2000 Professional on a PowerEdge Server

I am having difficulty installing Windows 2000 Professional (not
server) on a Dell PowerEdge 2500 server. I have deleted partitions and
recreated only to go through the installation to get an error message
saying that setup did not detect any hard drives on the system. I have
run the open manage CD, and the drive is healthy, present and
formatted. Any suggestions?

You need to press F6 when prompted early on in the hardware detection
process and have the proper SCSI/Raid Controller drivers on a diskette
for Windows to properly recognize the drive. You will have to get the
proper drivers for Windows 2000. Go to the Dell support site and find
the the proper drivers for your particular controller.
