Installing VIsual basic 6 On My Windows XP Pro.

The Problem I Am having Is: Whenever I Try To Install
Visual basic 6 On my Windows XP Professional Edition, I
get The following Error MEssage:
"C:\Windows\System32\Autoexec.nt. The System File Is Not
Suitable For Running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows
Appliocations"

Would anyone know how to solve this problem..? isn't there
a way to install my visual basic 6 on my winXp machine..?
