Installing Sound driver

Navile

I have the AMD Quad Core CPU. I had my sound etc. working OK. I uninstalled
the sound driver to try to fix some blue screen problem. That problem is
somehow now fixed. Now when I try to install the Realtek sound driver from
the Motherboard drivers CD, that came with the Gigabyte motherboard, the
installation seems to go OK. But then I never find the driver in the new
programs list, nor does my sound start.

Any suggestions, most welcome.

Yes, go to Realtek's web site and get the current driver from them.
It's many times newer than what is on your CD.

Hi,
I have the same problem but it started when I downloaded an update from
microsoft, I had no sound so I tryed uninstalling the plug and play software
and re-installing, this didnt work so I rolled back the driver to the
previous driver.
This gave me sound back on Windows media player but still no sound on
windows welcome screen or any of the windows sound effects, I still cant get
sound on online video?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Regards, Paul

This is the second time you've interjected your own issue into someone
else's thread. Please make your own thread and also don't make a new post
about the same subject only shortly thereafter. I already answered you in
the first hijacked thread.

Roll back the drivers and if that doesn't work, uninstall/reinstall them.
Look for my previous answer to you for details.

Find out who the driver maker is and go to their website for newer
drivers. If it's realtek, go to their web site.
