Installing on dial-up

Can I download, after verification, using my system with
high speed connection, burn to CD, and then install from
CD to another machine that has a dial-up connection after
running the Windows verification?

I'm trying to save time helping a friend with her machine
and I'd prefer not to sit waiting for s-l-o-w downloads
any longer than necessary.

I agree with Tom--do it.

The Genuine Validation mechanism has some depths to it, not all of which may
be in use at the moment. I know of nothing to prevent what you suggest
though--go for it.

Yes, it will work. I'm told it will also work being carried on a USB key.
