installing latest version

hows it goin i have been using

[Windows Defender Version: 1.1.1347.0]
[Engine Version: 1.1.1804.0]
[Definition Version: 1.14.1929.4]

without problems what i would like to know wheather i can install the latest
version which i downloaded from windows defenders interface homepage over the
top of Version: 1.1.1347.0, i would disable real time protection & disable
boot up with windows then exit then reboot to refect the changes then i would
install latest version, would this be ok
