Installing East Asian Languages

Having a problems installing the supplemental language support on a
Dell laptop. When I check the box for Far East Languages and then
apply the box is unchecked immediately. This is using my companies
copy of Windows XP Volume License. I've setup the language support on
several other computers using the same CD so I know the files are
there on the CD. Suggestions?

Thanks,

Andrew.

Sounds like a policy in force. If you're using Pro and have admin
rights, you might try using gpedit.exe and see what policies are in
force on that particular machine.

I don't think it's a Group Policy problem. The only thing I could
find under the GP Editor was "Restrict selection of Windows menus and
dialogs language" under "Regional and Language Options". That was get
to Unspecified, changing it to Disabled made no difference. Same
behavior. Thank you.

Yup, ctfmon.exe is on and Advanced Text Services are not disabled.
Anymore suggestions? Thanks.

Andrew.
