Installing Apps after MSAS is installed

I have just found that while trying to install applications for a financial
management company, that they are taking alot longer now that I have MSAS
installed first. I thought I would test it out on a clients computer who has
a small spyware problem.

Symantec ACT! 6.0 installer refused to complete past 99%.

Another program (Manulife Financial Diamond view 2004) took 75 minutes to
install. As I had not installed this application before, I can't compare as
to the first time it was installed. The install process suggested it may
take 30 to 40 minutes to install. As this is a clean loaded machine, I think
this might be a little excessive.

I'm not complaining, as I'm posting this information for feedback purposes
only, as that is the nature of beta.

This is the first time I've noticed that there has been a problem installing
apps after the MSAS is installed.

I have seen simalar issues. MSAS actually stopping the remote install
of software accross the network. I have yet to find a way to remotely
stop MSAS so that I can install apps then restart it. For now I have
removed it from My workstations. A bit of a pain to manually install
apps on 125 workstataions.
