installing a video card

Ok I know how to install a video card, but it says to run the software before
I install the video card. How can I install the software if I don't have a
monitor screen up? I need to have a video card in order to see the screen. I
know i need to uninstall the old drivers. Really, that should be my question.
Where do I go to uninstall the old drivers and then install the new drivers?
I mean I do have the driver disk that came with the new card.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thx attilathehun1

If the manufacturer specified that you install the software first...
just install it while your old card is still in the machine...then
immediatly shut down...
unplug your machine...then remove the old card and put in the new.

When the machine boots ups...it should then detect the new card and install
it.

I'd read the mfg's instructions carefully and just take their adivce

The PC didn't work, anotherword when my brother booted it nothing came up on
the monitor. Now, the first thing I checked was that the RAM sticks didn't
come loose. I took them out and reinstalled them and that did nothing. I then
checked the video card to see if that was the problem, and no it wasn't. I
installed the old card into another PC and it worked. When I tried to hook up
the monitor to the onboard video nothing happened. OH, right after checking
the RAM sticks, I checked out the monitor by hooking up another 3 monitors
and they didn't work. One worked for a while and then the next day it shut
down too. I'm thinking if the onboard video doesn't work either and it wasn't
the video card, it must be either the hard drive or the motherboard.
Anyways getting back to the original question, how can I uninstall the
drivers if I don't have a monitor up to see the problem. No, lets put it like
this. Should I uninstall the drivers of the old video card first and then
install the software for the new video card? Or should I install the software
for the new video card and then uninstall the old drivers for the old card?
And if so, where do I go to uninstall the drivers for the old video card? I
could could troubleshoot it but I know if someone just gave me a bit of a
refresher course on it. Well I think you go into the Device Manager and do it
from there? But lets have someone tell me for sure.
Any help would be greatly appreicated.
Thanks, attilahthehun1

If you want to uninstall the old drivers first, you'd go into the control
panel , device manager
