Installing a service in Vista

I am trying to tune up my brand new home PC, which is running Vista Home
Premium 32-bit with all updates from Windows Update installed.
I also have current Anti-Virus + Anti-Spyware SW running.

Now I am trying to install a small piece of software which runs as a service
(at least on all previous versions of Windows). I know the people who have
created this application and it is completely harmless and secure.
It will even run normally using less privileged security context.
BUT
I can not install that on my Vista, not even using my admin account.
Only error message is displayed (Access in denied).

What and how should I do ?

Two things you could try:

1 Right-click on the setup.exe, select Run as Admin( the real admin! not you!)

2 Right-click on the .exe, select properties, then compatibility, and run as
XP SP2
