What are these files?
Can they be deleted?

C:\WINDOWS\Installer\{string of numbers and letters}

AND (see my earlier post):

C:\WINDOWS\NTServicePackUninstall

Regarding Installer folder - the "string of numbers and letters" are icon
installations - do not delete. If space is not a problem, keep uninstall
folder - may come in handy down the road.
