Received gift of Windowsxp Home Edition, Version 2002 with
label "For PCs without, or PCs with Windows 95 or earlier
versions. Currently using Windows 98. Will this install OK?
If so, will it replace Windows 98 or will I have to remove
98. Using MS Works 3, Quicken 2003, and a variety of other
basic applications. Any problems with these after
installation?

This will install fine as an upgrade over Windows 98.

Don't know about MS Works 3. Quicken 2003 should run fine. During the
install it will warn you about any apps that are known to not work that you
might have installed.

Hi,

Sounds like a regular retail full version. If so, you can use it to upgrade
the existing Win98 system and keep your programs and settings intact. The
first part of setup runs a compatibility wizard that will tell you of any
known issues with currently installed programs and hardware. You should also
