What do you mean by can't get it running? I had a system with 6GB that would
run really slowly once it hit 4GB (64-bit Vista) but if it was reduced to
below 4GB it would be blazing fast. Turned out it was a problem with the
Intel 965 chipset and just required me to roll back the BIOS. Make sure that
your board supports 4GB first (I'm guessing it should anyways, but might as
well doublecheck), then call the manufacturer and ask them if it's a
documented problem. Intel knew straight away with my board (Intel DQ965GF)
that it was a problem and in two seconds told me what to do.

Cheers!

Hi, Ronny.

What does the error message say?

To head off a string of back-and-forth "did you do this" messages, please
tell us, step by step, exactly how you tried to install Vista, and which
results you saw at each step.

We often hear of problems with x86 (32-bit) Vista on computers with 4 GB
RAM. Please confirm that you are installing the x64 (64-bit) version of
Vista Home Premium, as your Subject line says.
