Installation of XP

My laptop with has XP pro installed died. Using my Windows XP Pro OS Disk, I
would like to load Windows XP Pro into another PC (originally was used in the
laptop and on one other PC). I loaded it and now it's locked me out from
logging in as it says it's registered to an other PC. What do I do?

OEM or retail?
Normally OEM can never be transferred to another computer regardless the
condition of the original computer.

This makes it seem like it is installed on 2 computers
One license, one computer, read the EULA for details.

If Windows XP is retail, simply choose the option to activate by phone.
