hi, i already have outlook 2003 on my computer. i would like to use another email account with it (two at the same time), but i don't think that is possible, so i am considering buying outlook 2007. my question is, can i install the 2007 version on my computer without having to uninstall or overwrite the 2003 one? i would use another program like outlook express, which allows multiple identities, but it doesn't give enough options with font colors and sizes, etc. if anyone can help, i would greatly appreciate it. thank you!

You can only have one version of Outlook on your OS partition. Installing
Outlook 2007 will overwrite OL 2003 but it will not affect your data store.

You can have many mail accounts set up within Outlook 2003, or any version.
I had 8 within 2003, from 3 different ISP's
Currently on Outlook 2007 I have 7 pop3 mail accounts and an imap account
Outlook 2007 handles this somewhat better than earlier versions as it is
easier to define seperate data files for each mail account

thanks for the replies. DL, how do i set up another identity in outlook 2003?

You don't use identities. In outlook you use either profiles for separate
mail stores, or additional accounts for many accounts in the same profile.

hi, i already have outlook 2003 on my computer. i would like to use another
email account
with it (two at the same time), but i don't think that is possible,

It's very possible. I've had many more accounts than that in use
simultaneously. At home right now, I'm using four (two Yahoo accounts, one
Windows Live account, and one gmail account).
so i am considering buying outlook 2007. my question is, can i install the
2007 version on my
computer without having to uninstall or overwrite the 2003 one?

Milly addressed this.
