Installation Failure 0xc0000017

After attempting to install Vista Beta on an HP Athlon 900 system, i kept
getting this error, until my motherboard went.

I got a gateway 966 and am getting the same error. i am using the same DVD
and DVD-Rom Drive between both. any advice would be appreciated. This error
message appears while it is trying to load files from the DVD. I will try
another Vista Download/Burn and see if it helps.

Sounds like a bad download to me.

I got the same error, and I am loading straight from the DVD provided by
Microsoft. On the developer forum, a person said she fixed the problem by
using the FORMAT option. Any idea where to find that option?
