I have an IBM A30 PC with nothing in the hard disk. I
install WinXP Pro from floppy setup disks. After loading
all diskettes, I then create disk partition. When the
setup program prepare to access the setup CD and have the
hard disk checked, error messages appear and the
installation is halted. The error is:

=======================================================
The following value in the .SIF file need by Setup is
corrupted or missing:

Value 0 on the line in section [SourceDiskFiles]
with key "SP1.cab".
=======================================================

Please kindly assist.

Regards,

Joseph

You are using the wrong set of boot disks. You need to be using the ones for
XP with SP1 already included.

Why are you using boot disks anyway? The XP CD is bootable - just configure
the BIOS to boot from it.
