Installation Errors

It seems like whenever i install games with several cds,
the installer stuffs up. I've tried installing Simpsons
Hit and Run and Thief 3 and after i insert the second or
third disk, the installation proceeds for a while before
an error message comes up.

Whatever i press, the message just keeps coming up again
until i terminate the installer. I don't think it is my
CD drive since this also happens when i use a virtual
drive. I think it may be windows and i was wondering if
there is a patch or something because i can't find any
support articles about it. Please reply with any
suggestions. Thanks!

Have you checked the Sims web site? There are very specific instructions
about the "order" in which things are installed. One of my daughters was
having a similar problem, and we determined the add-on packs needed to be
installed in a specific sequence. Once that was organized, the install went
smoothly.

Do you have an virtual drive software installed, possible even software
installed by Nero burning app? Both these applications feature
copy-protection software and I've seen reports of problems like this when a
virtual drive application is present.
