install problem

i had to re install windows for un disclosed reasons and i
tried to re-install with repair (not the repare console)
and it was missing a file. so i reinstalled by deleating
windows folder and i cant get back my old usernames. HELP
ME.

also the old username folders are security protected. i dont know how
to access them. if you could even just tell me how to get my old
desktop from my main account back it would help.

If you cannot get access to your folders, you will want to make sure that
you are logged on with Administrative rights. Then, you will want to find
the folder that you require access to, right click on it, choose
"Properties" then "Security" and grant yourself ownership of the folder.
You should then have access to the folder (unless the folder is encrypted -
in which case you are out of any hope of getting your data back).

you are logged on with Administrative rights. Then, you will want to
find

I am logged in with admin access.
the folder that you require access to, right click on it, choose
"Properties" then "Security" and grant yourself ownership of the
folder.

it dosent give me these options does it matter if i have xp profecinal.
also when i click to open the folder it says not accesable.
