Install Problem

Hi

I have to re-install my Vista, but I encounter a problem on the reboot
screen. Vista installs
copy the files etc, but when it has to go on installing in the second
screen, after the reboot,
it stops, and the PC responds "Press any key to start...etc " If I do that
Windows just start
reinstalling again, and so it lands in a loop...

Can anybody please tell me what the reason is, and what I must do to Install
properly again ?

when it says Press any key to boot from CD/DVD, DON'T press a key, in a few
seconds it will boot from the HDD and finish the installation.
The files needed to boot have been installed on the HDD, if you boot from
DVD again, it will just try to install the same files over and over...

I depends on what kind of 're-install' you are talking about. If this is a
clean install, where the setup has asked you what drive or partition to use,
then you can guess that you have a failing hard drive. If, on the other
hand, you are trying to 'repair' an existing install in one of the several
ways you may be doing that, you can try several of the options on the
'Windows RE' (recovery) start menu.
