Install new program always goes to Kodak

Lee

I have tried to install 2 new programs on XP Pro sp3 and each time the
install or setup program tries to install the Kodak camera software. I was
successful on one program when I clicked on the install file directly from
the DVD. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Also, the task bar does not show my icons even though they hide icons is
unchecked. The programs and or services are running when I check them but no
Icon for Cobian, WordWeb, USB ect. But once in a while, there is one or two
but not all.
Thanks again,
Lee

Kodak programs try to hijack any removable storage that has a 'picture'
type file on it - it's a major pain for many people!
Usually, if you just close down the Kodak App - then the correct options
will appear. If not, then navigate to the installer using Windows Explorer,
and double-click on the setup executable.

I do wish that Kodak would get it into their heads that their programs are
an option - not a requirement - for opening picture files!
