Install Chilada fonts from old Word 2000 into new Word 2003

Ira needs help. I am moving from an old computer with Office 2000 to one on
which I have installed Office 2003. Some critical documents (cover page for
a book we publish) use Chilada ITC Dos as the logo font. Word 2003 does not
have that font so I will lose the page (with font as developed) when I
transfer My Documents files. Is there a way to install this font from 2000
into the 2003 version. Unfortunately, the discs from Office 2000 have been
misplaced.

If it cannot be copied out of 2000 onto a thumb drive and transfered, is
there a website from which I might download the font and place it in Word
2003?
Thanks,

Interesting that Microsoft denies existance. Nothing has been installed on
the computer except a copy of Office 2000 -?!?!? Even if Microsoft disclaims
any knowledge, do you know of any way to move a font from one computer to
another?
I will give Google a try for the specific font. I only asked for
"downloadable fonts" previously. Thanks,
Ira

According to http://www.microsoft.com/typography/fonts/default.aspx, that
font has never been offered by Microsoft. You might try Google to see if you
can find a source for it.

Maybe *you* didn't install anything but it could have been included with
something that was preinstalled when you got the system or could have been
installed by someone else.

Because I don't know what the licensing of that font is, I'm going to
refrain from answering that.

Find the font file in the C:\Windows\Fonts folder (or, depending on
the Windows version, it might be C:\WinNT\Fonts). Copy it and move it
to the new computer in the same location.

I can confirm that there is no Chilada font in Office 2000. I have a
Virtual PC partition with nothing in it except Windows XP SP2 and
Office 2000, and the font isn't there.
