Instalation nighmare with frozen keyboard

Started a re-install of XP Pro as I wanted a clean system. Installation
failed with a can not find sisraid.dyd file message. Now the PC will boot and
not see the keyboard. Thus I can not press any key to boot from the CD or
select to boot from XP Pro rather than XP set up.

It starts to enter XP Pro Set up even with the CD removed and then fails at
the same point.

Standard Dell with Dell keyboard.

It seems to want to continue the XP Pro installation and each time it fails
with the same message.

Stick...

You probably needed to press F6 early on during the installation process
and supply RAID drivers on a floppy diskette.

You will have to start the installation again. Are you telling us that
the keyboard is not responding at all? You can't even use it to access
the BIOS and make changes?

Keyboard is fine at the BIOS set up stage. But once the PC starts up the
keyboard is dead.

So I cant press any of the Function keys at any point.

Crazy.

Is the computer set (in the BIOS) to boot to the CD-ROM? Can you
restart with your Windows CD and start the installation anew?
