InstaGibabit Network adapter?

I have a cable ISP. If i purchase and install one of the
pci cards (instagigabit), will i get more than 10Mbps?
thru my internet gateway?

When i look at my network connections, it seems as
though my speed is being strangled through my internet
gateway. I have a router (linksys), wide open with no
firewall.
what i do want is all i can get through my internet
gateway. I hope that someone can understand what i am
saying.

thanks,

Your Internet connection is capped by your cable ISP.
Most cable ISP's cap their speeds at either 3 Mbps down
or 1.5 Mbps down, and only 128 Kbps or 256 Kbps up.
Installing a gigabit ethernet card will not do anything
to increase the speed of your Internet connection.

There is not a cable connection in existence that will pump more than the 10
Mbps. Save your money!
